If you are in charge of making all the plans for the wedding including getting the wedding invitations out on time so all guests will be able to attend you should plan carefully. Many times during all the preparation, the wedding invitations are not sent in time for all guests to make proper arrangements to attend.
If you are having the wedding invites hand-made or done by a calligrapher, you should begin addressing the invitations 90 days prior to the date of the wedding even earlier if you are inviting several guests.
Normally, wedding invitations are mailed 8 weeks prior to the date of the wedding. This will give all of the guests plenty of time to make travel arrangements, book airline tickets, and get time off from work if needed.
You will want your guests to RSVP to your wedding invitaitons as soon as possible, so you will have time to make sure that the place cards are ready, that there will be enough seating, and that enough food will be prepared for the amount of guests that will be attending. You should including a RSVP date around 2 to 3 weeks before your wedding date, so you will have time to complete on the final touches to you special day.
